Gazetteer & History
Razmak was built after the 1919–20 operations as a permanent brigade station, connected by a metalled road that itself became a recurring subject of negotiation with the surrounding sections. Regimental histories and route reports describe it as the highest cantonment in the region, and it appears constantly in the intelligence record of the 1936–47 period.
