Gazetteer & History
Ladha served as one of the militia posts through which the administration maintained presence in the Mahsud country. Its garrison, water supply and road connections recur constantly in Political Agent correspondence, and the post was a fixed reference point in the operations of 1919–20. Later records show it functioning as a subdivisional headquarters, with a tehsil office, a hospital and a weekly bazaar.
